RSVP: The Deptford Project - Fix it, Use it
An opportunity has arisen for members of RSVP to become part of The Deptford ProjectIf you haven't heard or seen the space already, it is the large piece of land running just off Deptford High Street and leads around to the train station (google map link).
The Deptford Project has started the ball rolling with a bang, with a cafe housed in a rescued 1960s train carriage. Over the next 18 months the site will become a uniquely creative space, with spectacular events, an arts-and-crafts market, and the arches will be opened for a host of interesting projects and offerings.
A section of this space will become available during the week for creative events, such as performances, music entertainment, puppet shows, poetry readings and film screenings.
The Deptford Project is looking for locally based companies to tender to 'Fix the space or Use the space'. We would like to hear your ideas to 'Fix it' - such as seating, lighting or a canopy, as well as concepts to 'Use it' - including events or activities. There will be some budget available to put toward the winning ideas.
We are inviting all RSVP members to come and see the space on the 31st of July 6 - 9.30pm. Here you will receive a tender information with details on how you can get involved, along with drinks and snacks.
