DepicT! '07 Call for Entries

DepicT! short film competition, part of the renowned Encounters International Short Film Festival (Wed 21 – Sun 25 Nov ‘07), once again challenges filmmakers from across the globe to come up with a compelling, imaginative idea and distil it into 90 seconds of cinematic originality.

Not only will shortlisted films gain priceless industry exposure at Encounters, “The UK’s most important short film festival” (The Guardian), but they’ll be in the running for the top cash prize of £2000.

The earwax sunday sessions gig at the New Cross Inn was a great day and we recorded three rather splendid sets from The Total Drop, Heath & the Subliminal Girls, expect another Sunday Sessions gig shortly. You can hear highlights from Heath & Subliminal Girls on the latest radio show which has just gone online. This show also includes new music from Tim Ten Yen, William, Sailplanes and Miyagi and also contains a special report from the Digital Fusion City Showcase event.

Deptford Arts Network is rumoured to be closing down after three years following intense discussions. It is hoped that a new body may rise, phoenix-like, from the ashes offering barbecued wings and smoked breast alongside the more traditional fare of news and insider information.
