Anne Hampshire has now left Wigmore St, but more importantly Tracey Neuls and KJ laundry has got together to launch a temporary “guerrilla” art space in replacement.

Available now until the end of September, this central west London space will be a platform to showcase some of the best of the emerging artists of 2007. Now open for submissions, we hope to create a dynamic summer schedule.

In line with some of the previous collaborations held at Tracey Neuls since it’s opening, this space will be a platform for artists to make, mould and interpret as they see fit. The challenge provided is simply to interpret the tools in their original way.

Shows can be held for a minimum of one day, and up to one month.

Requirements for submission:
All work must incorporate a representation of Tracey Neuls footwear and KJ laundry. We want all artists to be creative in how they represent this.

Send three examples representing the body of work you would like to exhibit to . They must be sent as an attachment via email. The subject line should be:

With your examples, please also provide a description of the work that you wish to exhibit in the space, covering the following:


- A description of the work you would like to do within the space
- The type of work i.e. Performace, installation…
- Any alterations that you would like to make to the space, or any other details relating to your work and the space itself
- Measurements of the work, if any
- The length of time you would like to have the space for.
- How flexible you are regarding dates. It may be that we will need to juggle the program to allow as many artists as possible the opportunity to show.
- How you intend to interpret/ incorporate the garments/ accessories of KJ laundry and the Tracey Neuls footwear into the work


Don't send samples by snail mail. We strongly prefer e-mail submissions, as detailed above. If you cannot submit that way, then e-mail us and we may be able to work around the problem.

∑ Tracey Neuls Design or KJ Laundry can provide no funding or assistance to the artists. All works have to be funded by the artists themselves.
∑ We will assist in the advertising and promotion of the space, and the option of private views may be available either at Tracey Neuls or KJ Laundry.
