'First the UK and then the world...' will look at how you can exploit and reinforce your IP internationally. We will look at:
- How to move into international markets to grow your business.
- What processes you need to follow.
- The support that you can access.
- What your rights are and whether they differ from country to country.
- How to create a proactive strategy to exploit your IP.
- The impact of working internationally on your brand and service.
'First the UK and then World…' will look at how you can exploit and reinforce your IP internationally by looking at the ins and out of trading abroad and what you should be aware of before beginning. A panel of speakers will include:
- A representative of the UKTI who will talk through the assistance that is available to help you understand international trade procedures and guidance on developing overseas relationships to exploit your IP.
- 2 case studies from design companies that are working internationally; Contra Vision® and Black and Blum.
- Matthew Dixon a British and European Patent Attorney from ip21 Ltd.
This seminar will help you develop and grow and protect your business internationally.
Speakers include:
- Roland Hill: the inventor of patented one-way vision, see-through graphics, often seen on buses and telephone boxes. Roland will share his experiences of how he turned his inventions into a moneymaking business with international licenses.
- Dan Black is one of the founders of Black and Blum. As a design consultancy they advise clients on any creative concept.
- Matthew Dixon is a British and European Patent Attorney who heads the London office of ip21 Limited. He advises many small and medium sized businesses on the protection of their intellectual property.
- The UKTI will also give an overview of the business opportunities, expert trade advice and support they give to UK-based companies wishing to grow their business overseas.
