In recognition of its work promoting business in London south of the Thames South London Business was this week given two prestigious national awards by Mayor Ken Livingstone. South London Business (SLB) received its Investors in People and its Customer First certificates from the Mayor at a special ceremony at London’s City Hall.
‘We are delighted to receive this recognition by the Mayor as an organisation that values its people and delivers the highest quality services to business,” said SLB Chief Executive Peter Pledger who took his entire 14-strong staff to receive the awards.
Presenting the certificates on Thursday (November 1st) Mayor Livingstone said: “Congratulations to South London Business for succesfully completing Investors in People and Customer First accreditation".
It is the second time SLB has been accredited for both national awards. ‘This illustrates how South London Business has maintained its focus on staff motivation, development and efficiency while striving to ensure we have the systems, procedures, policies and determination in place to serve the business community,’ added Mr Pledger.
Described as the ‘voice of business South of the Thames’ SLB provides advice, support, and training initiatives to help firms prosper and remain competitive in today’s economic climate.
