Artsplan, the training and publications department of Artswork and in- house training provider for ENYAN (English National Youth Arts Network), is offering an excellent opportunity to develop skills and broaden knowledge for those looking to use digital media in their work with young people.

The ‘Using Digital Media in Youth Arts’ training course will run on 21st May 08 at Paddington Arts, London 9.45 am- 4 pm. All resources have been developed by Youth Arts Specialists, who have a wide range of excellent skills, experience and understanding from working within the sector.

Delivered as a creative workshop, this course has been designed to cover the many practical, legal and ethical issues involved in using a range of digital media within a youth arts project, either as an art form or as a tool for recording, evaluation or celebration.

Participants will take part in a practical video workshop, providing insight into issues involved both behind and in front of the camera, whilst presenting an overview of the entire production process.

Jay Barron, the Artsplan Development Manager commented; ‘This introductory course is suitable for anyone using or looking to use digital media with young people, either as an art form or as a tool for marketing or evaluating a project. The workshop will leave you feeling inspired and confident to use digital media both with young people and within a youth arts project, regardless of your objectives’.

All participants will receive a certificate of attendance upon successful completion of the course, and a wealth of practical resources. Prices for the courses, which include lunch, refreshments and resources, range from £150 to £110, with bursaries available. Please also remember that full ENYAN members can receive a 5% discount on all Artsplan publications and training!
