NEW PHOTOGRAPHY COURSES ON OFFER

I am glad to announce two new courses I will be running over the summer in association with Art Hub, a new artist's studio with an education bias based in Woolwich, South London.The courses are:
INTRODUCTION TO PHOTOGRAPHY, aimed at beginners and/or people who may have experience with digital cameras and want to explore the exciting possibilities of Black and White film based photography. It covers all the basics of the photographic process including camera operation, F nos. and speed, film exposure, depth of field, B&W film processing, B&W printing, the usage of various lenses, composition, etc.
DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY, aimed at beginners or photographers who are moving from film to digital. It will take you through the whole digital workflow, inclusive of a clear explanation of what a digital image actually is, the various file formats, camera settings and operation, colour balance, basic image manipulation using Photoshop, basic colour management, management of digital image collections, metadata and IPTC standards, printing, etc.
Art Hub has very good photographic facilities (I did the darkroom project myself....) and the two different courses described above will start off the Art Hub educational programme.
