This organisation recognises that individuals and communities can be disadvantaged by unfair discrimination and that everyone is entitled to fair and equal treatment according to the basic principles of Human Rights.
This organisation's Policy of Equality, Diversity and Access is founded on the principles of the Community Media Charter and The People's Communication Charter which recognise the right of every member of society to equal and open access to all aspects of the media; irrespective of Ethnic or Regional Origin, Language, Accent, Religion, Gender, Sexual Orientation, Physical or Mental Condition, Age or Political Association.
This Charter relates to all aspects of the organisation and forms the basis of all operational policies concerning;
Programming, Production and Commissioning
Publishing, Advertising and Sponsorship
and
Management, Administration and Training
It is therefore the aim of this organisation to engage and employ based on an individual's ability alone; and to protect those involved with the organisation from unfair discrimination or any action which would affect or deny them equality with the organisation.
The principles of this Charter also make it incumbent on all individuals and agencies involved with its operation or acting on behalf of the organisation, to adhere to the terms of this Policy and all related operational policies, including Health and Safety.
The organisation shall keep records of the implementation of this Policy and publish its findings periodically.
